8 weeks and counting...

I have been so busy with everything that I haven't had a chance to update everyone on our 8 week doctor visit.

Brandon and I went back to the doctor on September 2. Granna also accompanied us, which you should know, made Poppa upset. He didn't understand that it was a vaginal exam... And there are certain lines that a father-in-law cannot cross!!! :)

As soon as Dr. Mac started the sonogram I was amazed at how much our butter bean had grown. In just 10 days the baby had tripled in size. It is so amazing. I cannot even begin to explain all of the emotions that go through you when you see the baby growing before your eyes. The first trimester is so hard for a number of reasons... 1. All of the sickness...ugh, 2. not being able to feel the baby because its so small...mommies need reassurance, 3. and having to wait a whole 4 weeks before you can see the baby again!

We are so blessed! Words cannot explain what this baby already means to this family!

Here is my butter bean at 8 weeks...

Brandon has his finger at the baby's head and the bum is up against my uterine wall. The baby's legs and arms are at the top!!

1st 3D Tournament with my new bow!

8/16/09

Cleveland, TN

Bucks2Beards.com 3D shoot

This was the 3rd day I had my bow shooting and I shot a 183 which is pretty decent considering 220 is the best you can get, I finished 6th outa 12 so cutting the field in half isn't too bad for my 1st 3D of 2009, and with a new bow....Need I say more?

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!

Brandon and I are going to be parents. Today was my first doctors appointment, and to say that I was nervous was an understatement. I kept getting tickled at Brandon because he kept asking me what the doctor was going to do because he wasn't sure if he wanted to go back. I kept reassuring him that everything was going to be fine...He is a slight weenie! Hope he can make it through the delivery!

Well they took us back, ask us a thousand questions about our families, then ask us if we would like to see our baby for the first time. And of course, you know we said YES! Dr. Mak has a great sense of humor and he kept crackin jokes with Brandon. He ask him before he went any further with my exam if he had ever seen me NAKED! Brandon started DYING laughing and I just about plain DIED!

Then the sonogram started and instantly the tears started flowing. God is so amazing and it is wonderful to see he mighty power first hand. It is so awesome to know that a baby, no bigger than the size of a bean, already has a heartbeat, a brain, and a spine. We were both amazed. As soon as he found the baby on the sonogram, we instantly could see the baby's heart beating a mile a minute. That's when it hit Brandon that there really was a human being inside my stomach. It is such a wonderful feeling.

So I now introduce you to the newest member of the Elmore clan...

The arrows in the box to the left are pointing to our precious baby. You can't really tell what it says above the box, but Dr. Mak had the baby to send us a text. It says, "Yo Mama! Welcome to my Hood." I think we are really going to enjoy him as a doctor. Our baby is expected to make his/her arrival on April 14, 2009!
